Terms of Use
Last updated: date to be added at release · Version 1.0
The simple rules for using Stop Motion Maker. It's a one-time purchase: no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no ads.
1.Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are between you and the publisher of Stop Motion Maker (“we”, “us”) and apply to your use of Stop Motion Maker (the “app”). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should read these Terms and agree to them on your behalf. These Terms are also available online at https://stopmotionmaker.roxlabhq.com/terms.
2.Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices that you own or control, for your own non-commercial or family use, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you bought it from. The Apple Media Services Terms (including the standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement) or the Google Play Terms of Service also apply, depending on where you got the app. If those store terms and these Terms conflict about the licence itself, the store terms win.
3.One-time purchase
The app is sold as a one-time purchase through the store. It has no subscriptions, no in-app purchases and no advertising, and every feature is included. Price, taxes, payment, refunds and cancellations are handled by the store under its own policies. Prices vary by country.
4.Your movies and content
You keep ownership of the photos, voice recordings, music and movies you make. The app stores them on your device and we do not receive them, so we do not claim any rights over them and do not need a licence to them.
You are responsible for your content. In particular:
- Only add music, sounds or pictures that you have the right to use, and respect copyright when you save or share a movie.
- Get permission before filming or recording other people, and respect their privacy.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children's use of the camera, microphone and sharing.
5.Acceptable use
Please don't use the app to break the law, to infringe other people's rights, to harass or harm others, or to create or share unlawful or abusive content. Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, or remove notices from it, except where the law gives you the right to do so.
6.Saving, sharing and third parties
When you save or share a movie you use features of your device and of other apps and services. We don't control them, and their terms and privacy policies apply to what you do with them.
7.Your device and your data
Movies live on your device. Deleting a movie, uninstalling the app, a device fault or running out of storage can cause projects to be lost, and we cannot recover them. Please save finished movies you want to keep and make your own backups. Exporting needs free storage space and may fail if your device runs low.
8.Ownership of the app
The app, its name, logo and artwork belong to the publisher of Stop Motion Maker or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not give you any ownership in them. LEGO is a trademark of the LEGO Group, and other product and company names mentioned are trademarks of their owners. We are not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by them.
9.Updates and changes to the app
We may update, change or stop offering features, for example to fix problems or keep the app working on new devices. Some updates may be needed to keep using the app.
10.Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to make it reliable, but we cannot promise that it will always work without interruption or errors, or that it will suit every device or purpose, to the extent the law allows us to say so.
11.Limit of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of content or data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer, or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
12.Apple and Google
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content, for support or maintenance, or for claims about it, except as their own terms provide. They are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms where their store terms say so.
13.Ending your use
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Sections that by nature should continue after that, such as ownership and liability, will continue.
14.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when the app changes. We'll show the new date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or the store listing. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15.Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws that apply where the publisher is based, without taking away mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
